Del Taco Launches Two Vegan Epic Beyond Burritos to its Menu

Del Taco, the famous fast food restaurant chain, is introducing two new plant-based Burritos stuffed with Beyond Meat’s seasoned mince. They will be available in 580 of their outlets starting tomorrow.

The Epic Beyond Cali Burrito is made with Beyond Meat mince, Del Taco’s Crinkle-Cut Fries, sour cream, guacamole, and homemade pico de gallo salsa in a warm flour tortilla. The burrito can be ordered vegan by excluding the sour cream.

The second option known as The Beyond-8 Layer Burrito consists of plant-based Beyond Meat crumbles, slow-cooked beans, guacamole, fresh diced tomatoes, lettuce, cheddar cheese, zesty red sauce, and sour cream in a warm flour tortilla. The burrito can be ordered vegan by getting the sour cream and cheese removed.

John Cappasola, President and CEO of Del Taco, said, “The enthusiasm shown by our fans during the first weeks of our Beyond Meat offerings was undeniable,”.

He added, “To that end, we wanted to reward the passion being shown across social media and in our restaurants by utilizing our uniquely seasoned Beyond Meat recipe in two new protein-packed burritos.”

As a promotion of the new additions to the menu, you can use the code “Beyond8” in the Del App to get a free Beyond 8-Layer Burrito on any purchase. The code is valid for seven days starting 20 June.
